Student Artists Selected for Creative Generation Excellence Awards Regional Exhibition

Hills is proud to congratulate Willow, Abby-Rose and Savannah on having their artworks selected for the 2026 Creative Generation Excellence Awards in Visual Art Regional Exhibition.

The Creative Generation Excellence Awards in Visual Art is one of Queensland's most prestigious student art programs, celebrating exceptional artistic achievement and showcasing the creativity of young artists from across the state. Students' works are selected through a competitive process, with only a small number chosen to represent their region.

This year, Willow, Abby-Rose and Savannah are among just 53 students selected for the South East Queensland regional exhibition, a significant accomplishment that reflects their creativity, technical skill and commitment to their artistic practice.

The regional exhibition will open on Sunday 1 November, providing an opportunity for students, families and educators to celebrate the outstanding artistic talent on display. During the opening event, the artworks selected for next year's state exhibition at the Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) will also be announced, making the occasion particularly exciting for the participating artists.

Being selected for the regional exhibition is a remarkable achievement in itself and recognises the dedication, imagination and perseverance each student has demonstrated throughout their artistic journey.

We congratulate Willow, Abby-Rose and Savannah on this outstanding accomplishment and wish them every success at the exhibition opening. The entire Hills community is incredibly proud of their achievement and looks forward to celebrating their continued success in the visual arts.
