BV@H is a growing program with a clear vision: to develop skilled, confident, and resilient student athletes both on and off the court. Whether students are new to the sport or striving for high-level competition, our program provides a supportive and challenging environment where they can thrive.
Open to students across a range of year levels, BV@H focuses on building strong foundations in technique, teamwork, and personal growth.
Through coaching expertise, our international-standard facilities, and a culture of excellence, our athletes are guided to reach their potential - step by step, game by game.
A Program Built for Growth
Beach Volleyball @ Hills is more than just training and match play. It’s a space where students learn to lead, collaborate, and commit to long-term goals.
We emphasise:
Skill Development: A strong focus on the core elements of the game - serving, setting, spiking, and strategy - tailored to the student’s level.
Teamwork and Leadership: Every player learns the value of communication, collaboration, and self-discipline, developing not just as athletes, but as people.
Pathway Progression: We’re focused on the future. Our students are supported to explore opportunities in inter-school competitions, representative squads, and higher-level play.
As the program expands, we are actively working to increase our competitive participation, introduce strength and conditioning components, and build leadership roles within the team.
Expert Leadership: Angela Gaviglio
We are proud to have Angela Gaviglio as Head Coach of Beach Volleyball @ Hills. Angela is a former Olympian, representing Australia in indoor volleyball at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. Her decades of experience - both on the world stage and within coaching roles - bring an elite level of insight and professionalism to the program.
Most recently, Angela served as Assistant Coach for the Australian Women’s Volleyroos at the 2023 Asian Senior Women’s Volleyball Championship. Her passion for coaching, mentorship, and youth development drives the growth of our program and inspires the next generation of players at Hills.
